He held my hand when I couldn't walk. Now I'm holding on to every chance to keep him here.
My father, Srinivas, is just 54 years old. He is fighting stage IV bladder cancer in Hyderabad.
After six cycles of chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy, we hoped he was getting better. But on 13 October 2026, his latest scan showed that the cancer was progressing.
There is another treatment that may help him. But we cannot afford it alone.
I'm his son. I'm asking you to help me give my Papa another chance.
Our goal is to support his possible treatment and medical care over the next 12 to 15 months, depending on his doctors' recommendations. The final cost is being verified.
To the world, he is Srinivas.
To me, he is my childhood, my strength, and the reason I have always felt safe.
He spent his life making sure our family never lacked anything.
My mother has stood beside him through everything. I see her trying to stay strong, and all I wish is for them to grow old together.
I still have so many dreams.
I'm not ready for those dreams to become memories of things I never got to do.
I've always been an introvert. Even asking someone for a small favour is difficult for me.
But today, I'm asking strangers for help. Not because I've suddenly become brave.
Because my love for my father is bigger than my fear of asking.
Our family has already spent about ₹10 lakh on his treatment.
His doctors are evaluating further treatment, including a medicine called enfortumab vedotin, which may help control the cancer. It isn't a guaranteed cure. But it is a real treatment option, and I want my father to have every medically reasonable chance.
I cannot let money be the only reason we don't get to try.
